Ex-Iran Greco-Roman wrestler Mir Malek dies

TEHRAN – Former Iran’s Greco-Roman wrestler Rasoul Mir Malek died at the age of 86 on Wednesday.

Mir Malek represented Iran at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo in the featherweight.

He also competed at the 1962 and 1965 World Wrestling Championships in the U.S. and Finland, respectively.

Tehran Times extends its deepest sympathy to Mir Malek’s family, loved ones, and friends over his demise.
